Expanded my own business, PR Graphics Ltd, with my husband and formed another new company – Clear Thinking Training.
Managing Director and Company Secretary of both companies, with all the duties that this entails.
Creating 2D, 3D drawings, multimedia applications and web sites for various clients under the name of PR Graphics Ltd, now Clear Thinking Ltd.

PR Graphics Ltd:

Set up my own company to work as freelance for numerous companies including: Apex Office Furniture, Protech Motorsport, Maris Interiors, Maris City Interiors, P&O Cruises, Brazier Interior Systems, Chemlec Engineering, Cyanamid, Christies Financial Insurance Services and International Speciality Chemicals Ltd.
I started with a 3 month contract with Maris Interiors in Fleet, using AEC5.1 to work on office building shells and interiors. After which I gained freelance contracts with the other companies mentioned using AutoCAD R14, R13, LT & AEC. P&O Cruises consists of map work using Adobe Illustrator.

Brentvine Ltd - Contracted to International Speciality Chemicals Ltd, Hythe:
Using AutoCAD R13 & LT for all I/E drawings for various projects on site. Whilst there, I also used Lotus 123, AS400 / ID Hammer, Ami Pro and Microsoft Project for expediting, costing, purchasing & receiving goods. I worked for the Site Instrumentation/Electrical Engineer and the designers.
University of Portsmouth:

BA(Hon’s) Computer Animation & Illustration – Full Time Student
This course specialised in the use of Pc’s for producing animation and the Mac for DeskTop Publishing. Programmes used on the PC were: 3D Studio (R3 & 4), Animator Pro and AutoCAD r12. On the MACs: Quark Xpress 3.1, Illustrator 5 & Photoshop 3.0. During my time at University, I worked for LVO Partnership in Winchester for 3 weeks producing internal structures / room planning of a major hotel project in Jeddah, Middle East and part time for International Speciality Chemicals.

Freelance Contracts:

October 1989– October 1993
Freelance contracts with local agencies on mainly civils, piping and I/E using AutoCad R12 and Intergraph Microstation. Also worked on a contract for Ove Arup in London.

Pipco Projects Ltd, Hounslow, London:

Using AutoCAD R11 on various projects including building services, HWS & CWS and ductwork.

Industrial Consultants Ltd:
June 1992 – August 1992
Using AutoCAD R11 to completely redraw onto CAD site plans, area plans, elevations and flow diagrams of various BOCM Silcock Mills.

Technical Design Services Ltd, Hythe - Contracted to Exxon Chemicals Ltd, Fawley:
April 1990 – June 1992
Using Artisan and AutoCAD R11 to do various artwork as required such as manual covers, safety posters, graphs, flow charts, certificates, display boards and cartoon visuals for world wide presentations. I was the sole graphic designer within the drawing office.

EC & A Ltd (now Industrial Consultants Ltd), Chandlers Ford, Hampshire:
November 1989 – April 1990
Assisting a Piping Draughtsman to trace hot, cold and steam condensate pipework at Lyons Tetley, Greenford, Middlesex. This was to discover any redundant pipework that might be the cause of Legionella Pneumophila in their system. Building outlines were not available so they had to be drawn with the existing pipework added. I was involved with site work, going into ducts to trace pipework and amending plans on site.

 

Pine Design, Sway, Lymington, Hampshire
June 1998 – October 1989
Kitchen Designer / Consultant
In-House designer meeting clients in the showroom, leading onto survey visits. Design kitchen schemes in plan view with 2-point perspectives to aid presentation. Follow up after sales and deal with any enquiries. During my time there, I attended a sales effectiveness course with RMA training and also a Master Design course covering kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, studies & conservatories. I passed the Master Design exam making me a member of the Professional Designers Association (MPDA).

Designing layouts for kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms, with coloured perspectives and colour boards.

Hobbies and Interests:
Animation and the development of educational CD-ROMs are now a consuming interest.
All crafts and needlework, woodcarving and Sketching.
